GOP nominee Donald Trump is being criticized for taking the 2016 presidential election into the gutter, but Team Hillary proved Sunday that they know their way around such low places.
Democratic rival Hillary Clinton quoted Michelle Obama in response to Trump’s charge during Sunday night’s presidential town hall that former President Bill Clinton “was abusive to women,” saying: “When they go low, you go high.”

Yet, just minutes later, Clinton’s foreign policy spokesman, Jesse Lehrich, took to social media to tell Trump to “go f**k yourself.”
That’s going high?
Lehrich’s tweet was a brutal reaction to Trump saying that if he was president during the Iraq War, fallen Muslim-American Captain Humayun Khan, who died in 2004, would still be alive.
“I would not have had our people in Iraq. Iraq was disaster,” Trump said Sunday night. “So he would have been alive today.”

Lehrich would later issue an apology — he left the offending tweet on his timeline — saying that it was a “personal tweet,” but the damage had already been done:
I want to apologize for the clearly inappropriate nature and language of this personal tweet. Sorry all.

Conservative firebrand Michelle Malkin was quick to note the sheer hypocrisy of the Clinton campaign. Here’s her response, along with the reaction of others from Twitter:
