Michelle Obama knows that now is a good time to poke Donald Trump. He’s supposed to be on his best behavior.
During a speech Tuesday in Charlotte, she took her cowardly shots.
“I think we can all agree that someone roaming around at 3 a.m. tweeting should not have their fingers on the nuclear codes,” she told the crowd, a reference to his Twitter counterattack on former Miss Universe Alicia Machado.
Eric Trump pointed out on “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday, at least America can rest assured that his father is able to answer a 3 a.m. phone call.
“Listen, at least my father’s up at 3 o’clock in the morning, right? Which, you know, is great,” he said. “Maybe that energy is sometimes a little bit of a downfall of his, but he’s an amazing guy and he’ll be there to answer the call, you know, when things go bad.”
The first lady also took a shot at Trump’s complaints about a faulty microphone at the first debate. Complaints that turned out to be  rooted in fact.
“When she gets knocked down, she doesn’t complain, she doesn’t cry foul,” Mrs. Obama said.
