Freelance photographer Rich McCormack snapped a photo of the “Tribute in Light” at the World Trade Center site last week, but captured much more than just beams of light shining into the sky.
McCormack took the photo Friday night, Sept. 9, from the Hoboken waterfront, according to NJ.com, and while others may interpret what he captured differently, the photographer saw the heavenly inspiration.
It looks like “a vision of the Lord (Jesus) with his arms folded,” he told the news agency.

Many attributed the image to the clouds nearby. Even so, it has people wondering.
“Does look like someone is watching over us,” one commenter posted on McCormack’s Facebook post.
This wasn’t the first time there have been signs from above at the World Trade Center. Just before last year’s 14th anniversary of the 9/11 attack, a rainbow appeared from the side of the new WTC building in New York City, sweeping the sky for all to see.
