Are the police racist? This MUST-WATCH video counters BLM with one truth bomb after another

It’s a radical theory, but one expert on policing says criminals, not law enforcement officials, are the “real problem facing inner-city black community.

Heather Mac Donald, the Thomas W. Smith Fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a contributing editor of City Journal, holds a law degree from Stanford University. Her latest book, “The War on Cops” warns of “raced-based attacks on the criminal-justice system, from the White House on down.”

In a video produced for PragerU.com, Mac Donald makes the case that Americans are being misled to believe that black Americans are under attack by police.

Citing research from Lois James at the Washington State University, Mac Donald said, “Police are less likely to shoot unarmed black suspects than unarmed white or Hispanic ones in simulated threat scenarios.”

PragerU offers a series of five-minute videos, which are “conservative sound bites that clarify profoundly significant and uniquely American concepts for more than 100 million people each year,” according to its website.

In the video, Mac Donald cites an analysis of federal crime statistics and the Washington Post police-shooting data base showing “12 percent of whites and Hispanics who die by homicide are killed by cops.”

“By contract, only 4 percent of blacks who die by homicide are killed by cops,” Mac Donald said.

“Police shootings occur more frequently where officers confront armed or violently resisting suspects,” she said. “Those suspects are disproportionately black.”
