Concerns about whether Hillary Clinton is physically fit to be commander in chief remains a topic of interest on the campaign trail with the latest comments coming from her own campaign.
Amid rumors of major health issues, to include Republican rival Donald Trump insisting that Clinton “lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on… the many adversaries that we face,” Team Hillary dismissed it all as little more than just another right-wing conspiracy theory in an email to reporters.
“Donald Trump is once again peddling deranged conspiracy theories in a desperate attempt to change the subject – this time with absurd and debunked claims about Hillary Clinton’s health,” the campaign said. “This is hardly the first time Trump and his allies have donned tin foil hats when things weren’t going his way.”
Conservative media outlets continue to push stories questioning the health of the 68-year-old Democrat, who fainted in December 2012 after contracting a stomach virus and suffered a concussion and blood clot to the brain. Her doctor said the symptoms she experienced from the fall cleared up within two months, although she continues to take anticoagulation medicine as a precaution.
Giving lift to the rumors of poor health was purported medical documents from Clinton’s doctor being circulated on social media.
CBS News reported:
The medical documents, which were purported to be from Clinton’s physician, said she showed signs of “advancing Subcortical Vascular Dementia” and “frequent Complex Partial Seizures.” It said she complained of “blacking out for short periods of time” and had suffered from “uncontrollable twitching.” A brain scan image circulating online also professed to show there was an abnormality in Clinton’s brain tissue.
Photos of the alleged documents were being disseminated online by a now-deleted Twitter account:

But, according to Clinton’s doctor, Dr. Lisa Bardack, the alleged medical documents were “false, were not written by me and are not based on any medical facts,” FactCheck.org reported.
“To reiterate what I said in my previous statement, Secretary Clinton is in excellent health and fit to serve as President of the United States,” Bardack stated.
