She failed as a 2016 presidential hopeful, but that’s not stopping Carly Fiorina from seeing a higher political position.
She’s reportedly throwing her hat in the ring to replace Reince Priebus as chair of the Republican National Committee, according to Fox News.
But, her failure to endorse party presidential nominee Donald Trump may be a hurdle too high.
In April, Fiorina slammed Trump for accepting the endorsement of prizefighter Mike Tyson.
“And I think it says a lot about Donald Trump’s campaign and his character that he is standing up and cheering for an endorsement by Mike Tyson,” she said at the time.
Fiorina’s supporters contend she’s may be just what the Grand Old Party needs.
“She has proven herself to be an outstanding, eloquent spokeswoman for conservative principles and the Republican Party, as someone who had been on the front line implementing those principles in the real world and in the private sector,” Keith Appell, former senior adviser to the “CARLY for America” Super PAC, told FoxNews.com.
“One of the things she did well as a candidate was getting a lot of people to nod their heads and say ‘yes’ when she explained the practical applications of conservative policies and principles. That’s something the party has needed,” Appell said.
The domain names CarlyForChair.com and CarlyForRNC.com were bought in July, Time reported.
