Following a massive email scandal, where the FBI let her off the hook for being “extremely careless” with classified information as secretary of state, Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is now blaming her response on a “short circuit.”
Clinton admitted during a press conference that she mischaracterized the statements by FBI Director James Comey when she claimed he said she was “truthful” to the public.
Quite the contrary. Comey noted numerous times that Clinton did, in fact, lie about her private email server.
Now, she says she was being “short circuited” when she made the statement:Â

“I was pointing out in both of those instances, that Director Comey had said that my answers in my FBI interview were truthful. That really is the bottom line here,” Clinton said. “What I told the FBI, which he said was truthful, is consistent with what I have said publicly. I may have short-circuited and for that I will try to clarify.”
Immediately, GOP nominee Donald Trump stepped in to call Clinton out, saying she doesn’t have the judgment to be president.
