Supermodel Gisele Bündchen opens Olympic games, offended Canadians freak out at what they called her

Mrs. Tom Brady? That’s Gisele Bündchen to the rest of the world

Many of our northern neighbors were downright beside themselves Friday when Peter Mansbridge of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation called supermodel Gisele Bündchen “Mrs. Tom Brady” during the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Brazil on Friday.

The “gaffe” happened as Bündchen, who is a Brazilian, walked out to the song “The Girl From Ipanema.”

Canadians were not very happy.

It’s a good thing he didn’t call her something really offensive, like beautiful.
