Geraldo’s FURIOUS with Obama: I don’t want condolences, I want him to get off his a** and do something!

Geraldo Rivera laced into the Obama administration’s lackluster fight against terrorism and responded to the news that the U.S would be sending more troops to the Middle East.

“We are going to send more troops to Iraw, a total of 560,” Fox News’ Steve Doocy said Friday on “Fox & Friends.” “The United Kingdom is going to send 250. Is that going to help?”

“About time,” Geraldo said. “My goodness what is this gradualism? I don’t understand how the President of the United States can watch this unfold and still believe that his thesis, his approach to fighting the caliphate, is a little here, a little there, a little more bombing.

“Because you are proud of your policy and stubbornly insisting it will work does not mean you can’t, as an intelligent, patriotic person, say it has not worked, we must wipe out the caliphate,” he said.

Rivera called for a larger military response in Raqqa, Syria and Mosul, Iraq, where the Islamic State is based.

“Where are the first cavalry, the 82nd airborne, the 101st airborne? Where are our magnificent troops to put an end to this?” he asked.

“We are at war with an ideology that is more than an ideology,” he said. “It is a geographic entity. We know where it is. I can show you on the map where it is.”

He called for President Obama to save his condolences and announce a declaration of war against ISIS.

“It is time for the President of the United States to go beyond,” he said. “I don’t want him to console us now. I want him to be firm — I want him to announce and escalation, a major escalation, if not a declaration of war against ISIS — When ISIS cut the heads off those journalists and drowned that pilot it was time then, it’s time now!”

“I believe the first step is a military step,” he continued. “I don’t want to be calmed now. I want a military solution to what is essentially a military problem.”

“Fox & Friends” host Brian Kilmeade said former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell wrote him and agreed with Geraldo.

“I believe exactly Geraldo is 100 percent right,” Luttrell wrote. “Let us do what we do best. Too many civilians are dying. That is our job.”
