The Muslim holy month of Ramadan is proving to be especially bloody as yet another terrorist attack unfolded in Turkey, resulting in at least 36 dead and another 147 people wounded… the attack also took center stage in presidential politics in the U.S.
CNN reported:
Gunshots, screams and explosions pierced the air Tuesday as three terrorists armed with bombs and guns killed at least 36 people at Istanbul Ataturk Airport in Turkey.
Witnesses described deadly carnage and crowds in a panic as the attackers struck one of the world’s busiest airports.
At least 36 people were killed, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said. An additional 147 people were wounded, Turkey’s Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag said.
One of the terrorists was captured on a security camera being shot by police and then detonating a suicide belt:

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the world will see “much worse things” unless it comes together to fight terrorism.
“Make no mistake: For terrorist organizations, there is no difference between Istanbul and London, Ankara and Berlin, Izmir and Chicago or Antalya and Rome,” Erdogan said. “Unless all governments and the entire mankind join forces in the fight against terrorism, much worse things than what we fear to imagine today will come true.”
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said signs pointed to ISIS being behind the attacks, CNN reported.
“The terrorists came to the airport in a taxi and then carried out their attacks,” he said. “The fact that they were carrying guns added to the toll. Preliminary findings suggest all three attackers first opened fire then detonated themselves.”

While the White House, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump all condemned the attack, the presumptive GOP nominee response on social media took the political world by storm.

Trump drove home the point at a rally later in Ohio, stressing the threat to America and saying “you have to fight fire with fire.”
“Folks there’s something going on that’s really, really bad. Alright? It’s bad,” he said. “And we better get smart and we better get tough. Or were not gonna have much of a country left, OK?”
