Federal investigators are looking into the wife of Orlando nightclub terrorist Omar Mateen as they dig for clues in the case.

There’s just one issue. She’s gone.

Mateen’s father, Seddique Mateen, told reporters from the Sun-Sentinel who arrived at his home, that his daughter-in-law Noor Salman was “no longer here.”

He said he didn’t know where she had gone but he knew she was not in the area any longer, the Sun-Sentinel reported.

Mateen said that his grandson asked about his father that morning.

“This morning my grandson was asking for his father, so that really hurt me really bad,” Mateen said. “And I was thinking about the families of the victims. They have kids and they lost their loved ones.”

The elder Mateen indicated that other family members where in the home but asked reporters to leave the premises as his daughter-in-law was not among them.

The noose has begun to tighten around the neck of Salman as a text message exchange on the night of the shooting had been discovered.

It’s a scary notion to think how potentially dangerous this woman is, and no one seemed to know where she was. Perhaps, sunning herself at the beach?
