FBI Director James Comey announced today that the agency will not be using Omar Marteen name in public addresses to the media.
Comey said in a statement that using the name of the Orlando Islamic terrorist that killed at least 49 people would garner fame and notoriety which could lead to other Islamic terrorist attacks in the country.
“I am not using the killer’s name and I will try not to do that,” Comey said.

But, conservative columnist Ann Coulter thinks Comey is not using Marteen’s name because of the clear Arabic and Islamic origin in which the name derives, saying officials are scared to “stigmatize Islam.”
FBI Dir. refuses to use killer's name. Doesn't want to make Omar a celebrity or stigmatize Islam, He should be referred to as Haven Monahan.
