A former Miss Universe has come out of the woodwork to declare how, she claims, Donald Trump verbally abused her.
Alicia Machado is among those who was chronicled in the New York Times hit piece on Trump. That article has been widely attacked as a misrepresentation by an ex-girlfriend and a former Miss California.
Machado, however, has stuck to the story that Trump debased her with names like “Miss Piggy” because she gained weight after winning the crown in 1997.
“For sure he is not a good person,” the former beauty queen told Inside Edition while adding that he bullied her “all the time.”
“She weighed 118 pounds or 117 pounds and she went to 160 or 170. So this is somebody that likes to eat,” Trump told reporters at the time.
During an interview with Howard Stern around the same time, he called her an “eating machine.”
Machado, who went on to become a telenovela star, said it was more like a 15 pound weight gain.
The former Playboy model said the worst part of the ordeal was when she had to work out in front of reporters.
“They took me to New York, installed me in a hotel. The next day, they took me to the gym, and I’m exposed to 90 media outlets. Donald Trump was there. I had no idea that would happen,” she said.
“I was about to cry in that moment with all the cameras there. I said, ‘I don’t want to do this, Mr. Trump.’ He said, ‘I don’t care,'” she claimed.
Machado is becoming a U.S. citizen and will do so in time to vote for president in November.
When asked if she was voting for Trump she laughed and said “He can’t be a president.”
