Amid allegations of liberal bias, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg wants to meet with conservatives to set things right.

Radio host Glenn Beck posted on his Facebook page Saturday that he will be among those at the meeting, scheduled for next week.

“Mark wanted to meet with eight or 10 of us to explain what happened and assure us that it won’t happen again,” he wrote. “How does a company who allowed voices to be heard in Iran and Egypt, which sparked revolution, silence voices of anyone here?”

Beck praised Facebook as “powerful tool” and said he would adjust his schedule to make the meeting because it could be a “win for all voices if we can come to a place of real trust.”

“Facebook is, to me, a tool not unlike radio, TV or even the telephone,” he said. “It is as wide as broadcast, but as personal as the telephone. We can connect with one another the world over unlike anything man has ever seen before.”

The news of the meeting comes days after Zuckerberg posted that he would be reaching out to conservatives, and “people from across the political spectrum” to talk with him “about what Facebook stands for and how we can be sure our platform stays as open as possible.”

Beck said he hopes Zuckerberg is sincere in his desire to keep Facebook a nonpartisan outlet for free speech because, if not, “the big government establishment progressives will, at some point, make Facebook a “utility” and destroy it for everyone.”
