The thug who made news earlier this week by threatening to kill Donald Trump, his wife and daughter has been arrested.
Richard Deville Jr., 26, was arrested and charged with felony intimidation after he was identified as the maker of the video, according to the Courier-Journal.
The video first came to public attention when it was exposed by conservative author Mark Dice, who phoned the Secret Service to report the crime.
“That’s not political speech, it’s not free speech, that’s criminal speech because he’s threatening someone’s life,” Floyd County Prosecutor Keith Henderson said at a press conference on Thursday.
Deville was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious, violent felon. A petition to revoke his parole, for burglary in 2009, was filed by the prosecutor’s office, the Courier-Journal reported.
According to the affidavit, a Secret Service agent spoke to Deville, who admitted to making the video.
“Deville told me that he produced the video and posted it to YouTube because he thought it would make him look cool,” the affidavit read according to the Courier-Journal.
Henderson said there didn’t appear to be a specific threat and that “it was more of a general threat.”
“Our country stands for freedom of speech, but it absolutely cannot tolerate someone’s life being threatened because they run for office and have a difference of views on issues,” he said.
