Donald Trump won’t rule out removing House Speaker Paul Ryan as the chair of the Republican National Convention.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee appeared on “Meet The Press” on Sunday and insinuated that Ryan could face consequences if he didn’t support Trump’s nomination.

“If he can’t endorse you do you think he should be chair of the convention?” host Chuck Todd asked Trump.
“I will give you a very solid answer, if that happens, about one minute after that happens, O.K.?” Trump responded. “There’s no reason to give it right now, but I’ll be very quick with the answer.”
“It sounds like I know what the answer is but you don’t want to say it,” Todd said.
“We’re gonna see,” Trump said. “I don’t think that’s gonna happen.”
Earlier in the interview Trump said he was “blindsided” by Ryan’s refusal to endorse him last week.
He said Ryan called him after he won the New York Republican primary to congratulate him.
A representative for Ryan said the phone call never took place, according to the Associated Press.
Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks said “Ryan disputed the time of the call, not the call itself.” and added “I believe this took place in late March.”
The pair are scheduled to meet Thursday in Washington.
