For a second day, anti-Trump protesters targeted Republican front-runner Donald Trump, demonstrating outside the California Republican Convention.
In a follow-up to an all out riot the night before, protesters blocked off the street Friday in front of the Hyatt Regency hotel where Trump was scheduled to speak, according to CNN.
Wearing bandannas over their faces and carried Mexican flags, the protesters forced the candidate and his entourage, to include a heavy security presence, to walk in on foot after abandoning their motorcade on a highway outside the hotel’s back entrance.

Trump later commented on the incident while speaking at the convention.
“That was not the easiest entrance I’ve ever made,” the real estate tycoon said. “It felt like I was crossing the border.”
Police had their hands full keeping the anti-Trump crowd from storming the hotel, resulting in several physical altercations, including shoving, between protesters and police officers, CNN reported.
Many of the protesters were on hand because of Trump’s stance on immigration, including Frank Lara, a fourth-grade teacher from San Francisco who carried a Trump piñata.
“We’re upset at the hate speech and division that this man, Donald Trump, is saying in a time of crisis,” Lara told CNN. “We’re out here to make sure that he does not feel comfortable saying what he is saying.”
