Legendary artist Prince dead at 57-years-old

Singer and global pop-star Prince is reportedly dead at age 57.

According to a bombshell report by TMZ, Prince was found dead at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early Thursday morning, multiple sources apparently confirmed the information.

Here’s more details on the legend’s death: 

On April 15th, Prince had a medical emergency that forced his private plane to land in Illinois, but the very next day appeared at a concert to assure fans he was okay.

At the time, Prince told TMZ he was battling the flu.

Prince’s glorious and extensive career started back in the late 1970’s with his 1978 debut album For You and self-titled second LP released the following year.

The pop-star’s global hit record Purple Rain earned his his first No. 1 album on the Billboard charts and even earning him two Grammy Awards, catapulting him to icon status within the music industry, according to Billboard.

As an artist, Prince became known for his perfectionism, which allowed him to released new music almost every year throughout the 1980’s. He’s also revered as one of the greatest performers in modern history, often times performing for more than three hours while showcasing his impeccable guitar skills.

At the end of his career, Prince continued to experiment with pshydelic rock, as his band 3rd Eye Girl released four full-length albums since 2014.
