‘AWESOME Cover!’ NY Post’s front page after Trump win has people talking — for all sorts of reasons

In response to Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s commanding win Tuesday night in the New York primary, the New York Post ran with a provocative cover of the victorious candidate sitting atop the Empire State building, much like the infamous King Kong.

The image portrays the dominating performance Trump enjoyed in winning 89 of the 95 delegates up for grabs.


While Trump supporters were quick to gush over the spread, others couldn’t resist the opportunity to poke fun at the King Kong analogy.

Social media users jumped at the chance to compare Trump to a big ape… but if the goal was simply to sell newspapers, the photo appears to have fulfilled its duty.
