What would Americans do if aging rock stars didn’t tell them how to think?

Particularly when they are foreign-born and dripping with hypocrisy.

Canadian rock star Bryan Adams joined New Jersey’s Bruce Springsteen in the fight for what they perceive to be social justice by canceling a Mississippi concert due to the state’s new law stopping men who think they are women from using women’s facilities.

“I cannot in good conscience perform in a State where certain people are being denied their civil rights due to their sexual orientation. Therefore I’m canceling my 14 April show at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum,” he wrote on Instagram.

Just days ago, Springsteen cancelled a concert in North Carolina over its law banning men from accessing women’s bathrooms.

This coming from the same Bryan Adams who recently tweeted about a concert he gave in Egypt, a nation which sentenced two men to three years in jail for getting married to each other in 2015.

Nor did he have any issue performing in a host of Middle Eastern nations where gays are abused and have virtually no rights.

Bruce Springsteen’s band member Steve Van Zandt and fellow aging musician Richard Marx praised Adams’ decision.

But not all of the commentary was praiseful.
