With a precarious economy, terror on the rise and an increasingly polarized country, the Obama administration got busy figuring out ways to stick its intrusive nose in the toy industry.

The White House hosted a summit on Thursday focused on blowing apart gender stereotyping when it comes to playthings for little boys and girls.

Obama’s wing-woman Valerie Jarrett was at the forefront cozying up to the LGBT community that is up in arms after North Carolina passed a law barring individuals from being able to decide which public bathroom they can use based on gender identity.

Mulling over possible legal action against the state, Jarrett reportedly demanded an end to “gender biases” in toys and media while the White House vowed to take aim at “gender stereotypes.”

Nevermind that toy makers have already begun to expand the market. Legos for girls, pink bow and arrows, and more “manly” play kitchen sets have been gracing toy shelves for years and are doing quite well.

But, we can’t leave it up to the free market to decide. The White House smelled a divisive issue and showed up to exploit it.

The White House says it hopes gender-neutral toys will help little girls reach their career goals and possibly propel more women into the science and technology fields.
