Two kids in Missouri took it upon themselves to show the police how much they appreciate their service.

Aiden Best and Nathan Perry opened a lemonade stand on Sunday to raise money so they could do something nice for the Lee’s Summit Police Department‘s officers and local firefighters, Fox 4 reported.

The delightful duo held a sign that read “Help Us Thank Our Police” and managed to raise $50 that they used to purchase doughnuts and soda for the police and fire department.

“I feel like you haven’t really seen anybody thanking any of them right now, so this is for them,” Aiden told Fox 4. “”They protect us every single one of us and if we didn’t have them our world would be apoca-lipstick and it would be rampage all over bad people would be taking over we wouldn’t know what to do and if they broke the law we wouldn’t know how to stop them.”

His friend Nathan agreed.

“We felt like the police had done so much for us, and they have nothing in return,” he said. “They deserve a treat. They keep us safe.”

The officers thanked the youngsters for their kind gesture and let them check out their police cruisers.
