While on his normal route, a postman got out of his truck and stood in the rain for an awesome reason.
Glenn Corbett noticed a funeral procession passing by for a deceased World War II veteran so he stepped out of his mail truck in the pouring rain, took off his helmet, and paid his respects.
His kind gesture was noticed by Carole Chase-Draughan, the daughter of the veteran, who snapped Corbett’s picture and posted it online praising him, WEAR reported.

The photo was quickly shared, and others chimed in with personal stories of Corbett’s kindness.
“He’s off work today, one of the elderly [customers] on our route passed away last week and he’s going to pay his respects, on his day off. This is a good guy all around!” Kelley Steward, who said she was one of Corbett’s co-workers, wrote.
“Not sure if he’s still involved, but for a long time Glenn helped coordinate the Stamp Out Hunger food drive for Manna Food Pantries. He’s not only patriotic, but he’s incredibly compassionate and really cares about this community! Way to go Glenn!” Rachel Cox wrote.
