Donald Trump‘s spokeswoman Katrina Pierson got into a heated battle with representatives from both Ted Cruz’s and John Kasich’s campaign on CNN Tuesday.

Pierson appeared with Cruz’s campaign chairman Chad Sweet and Kasich’s spokesman Trent Duffy on CNN’s “Wolf” with host Wolf Blitzer to discuss the charges filed against Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

The panel aired after Sen. Cruz spoke to reporters about Lewandowski, who was charged earlier in the day with simple battery stemming from a March 8 incident in Jupiter, Florida, where it is alleged that he grabbed and violently pulled former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields.

“Unfortunately, this abusive behavior seems to be part of the culture of the Trump campaign,” he said. “Personal attacks, verbal attacks and now physical attacks have no place in politics or anywhere else in our society.”

Pierson argued that this latest incident was part of an overall “effort to stop” the Trump campaign and called the charges “absurd” before citing the surveillance video.

“She says she was aggressively grabbed, nearly thrown to the ground. That is the allegation,” she said. “There is a man that has four small children, now having to face charges from this claim that he grabbed a woman, nearly throwing her to a ground in a press scrum. That is absolutely absurd and you working on a campaign, you know it too.”

“Our campaign doesn’t throw reporters to the ground,” Duffy retorted.

“Nobody’s running up to your campaign trying to ask questions either,” Pierson shot back.

The squabble followed tweets from Trump himself backing his campaign manager.
