Optics, schmoptics … this president has thrown caution to the wind when it comes to public perception of his actions.

Either that or President Barack Obama is every bit the poor leader his critics charge.

Upon returning from his tropical getaway to Cuba, followed by a trip to Argentina, the president made a beeline for the links on Saturday, according to the Washington Examiner.

Yep, you can add a round of golf to Obama taking in a baseball game — to include doing the wave — just hours after the Brussels terrorist attack that claimed the lives of more than 30 people, and dancing the tango the very next day.

Obama enjoyed his 281st round of golf since being sworn in back in 2009, the Examiner reported — the count was confirmed by CBS White House Correspondent Mark Knoller. Considering an average round of golf takes four hours, the Examiner noted that Obama has spent over 1,100 hours golfing since becoming president — that’s 46 full 24-hour days.

The golf outing came one day after ISIS followed through on a threat to crucify a Catholic priest on Good Friday, although the death had yet to be reported.

The reaction on social media seems to reinforce the idea that with less than 300 days remaining, Obama has all but checked out.
