Secretary of State John Kerry took to the Sunday talk shows Easter morning to defend President Barack Obama’s frivolous actions following the Brussels terrorist attack last week and to suggest the Republican presidential primary “is an embarrassment to our country.”

After dismissing Obama taking in a baseball game in Cuba — to include doing the wave — and traveling on to Argentina to do the tango immediately following the attack that claimed the lives of more than 30 people as “major diplomatic responsibilities,” Kerry set his sights not on ISIS, but on the Republican Party.

CBS’ “Face the Nation” host John Dickerson asked Kerry about the rhetoric from GOP primary candidates in response to the attack in Belgium, which he characterized as the “circus of campaigning.”

“Everywhere I go, every leader I meet, they ask about what is happening in America,” Kerry replied. “They cannot believe it.”

He went on to say world leaders are “shocked” and that the rhetoric “upsets people’s sense of equilibrium about our steadiness, about our reliability.”

“To some degree, I must say to you,” Kerry added, “some of the questions, the way they’re posed to me, it’s clear to me that what’s happening is an embarrassment to our country.”

Former GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee turned the tables on Kerry during an appearance on “Fox & Friends Weekend,” pointing to a statement from the secretary of state that said the attack in Brussels was a sign that the fight against ISIS is going well — his premise being that ISIS is attacking in the West because gains are being made against them in the Middle East.

“It’s really embarrassing that the secretary of state wants to say that the carnage that we saw in Brussels is the result of us doing something wonderfully right,” Huckabee asserted. “No, it’s a result of a complete breakdown.”
