A CNN panel exploded into a shouting match Sunday over the media’s fascination with Donald Trump‘s retweeting of a picture of Melania Trump and Heidi Cruz recently.

Douglass Heye, who served in the George W. Bush administration, accused senior Trump advisor Stephen Miller of saying he wanted to “agree to disagree” on sexism. Miller erupted at this charge and accused Heye of mischaracterizing what he said.

Miller went off on the whole panel Sunday for the media’s “feigning indignation” over a picture Trump retweeted of Heidi Cruz and Melania Trump while real problems are happening.

“I think it says a lot about the conscience of Washington D.C. how many hours we’ve spent discussing a retweet,” he said. “And it would be nice if one-tenth the outrage that has been spent in feigned indignation over this retweet had instead been spent this summer when Kate Steinle was murdered in cold blood by an illegal immigrant in San Francisco. Congress did nothing when an American citizen was murdered and died in her father’s arms in cold blood.”

While the entire panel tried to talk over Miller, he continued his onslaught.

“We don’t get mad when Americans are murdered by illegal immigrants, we don’t get mad when people have their jobs taken by cheaper foreign workers here on visa programs,” he charged. “We don’t get mad when entire cities are crushed by our trade policies that send jobs overseas … So I think a big part of the Trump campaign is that people want to get mad about the right things.”
