Someone has to ‘play president’ for Obama! Defense Secretary announces death of key ISIS leader

With President Barack Obama preoccupied with baseball games and the tango, Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announced on Friday that a senior leader of the Islamic State has been killed.

“The U.S. military killed several key ISIL terrorists this week, including we believe Haji Iman, who was an ISIL senior leader serving as a finance minister and who also was responsible for some external affairs and plots,” Carter said.

Iman was seen as ISIS leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi’s top deputy.

Carter moved to reassure an apprehensive nation still feeling the effects of the Brussels terrorist attack that killed more than 30 people.

“We are systematically eliminating ISIL’s cabinet,” he said.

While the timing of the announcement proved to be fortuitous for Obama in the face of doubts about his efforts to fight ISIS, social media users were left to wonder who’s more presidential in the administration.
