Emotional Rubio reveals future plans to press

Marco Rubio reappeared on Capitol Hill Thursday and announced his plans for the future.

As reporters peppered him with questions, one asked if he would consider being the vice president for Sen. Ted Cruz if he should secure the nomination.

“I’m not gonna be anybody’s vice president,” he said, and appeared to become emotional. “I’m not interested in being vice president. I don’t mean that in a disrespectful way. I’m not gonna be vice president; I’m not running for governor of Florida. I’m gonna finish out my term in the Senate and over the next ten months we are going to work really hard here, we have some things we want to achieve, and then I’ll be a private citizen in January.”

When pressed, Rubio reiterated that he would not seek re-election to the senate.

He also said that the idea of a brokered convention that would make him the nominee was not part of his decision making process or plan.
