If you find yourself facing 19 drug-possession charges along with a weapons charge, it’s safe to say you are having a bad day.
When you’re a reality TV star for the popular show “Pawn Stars,” your day just got a lot worse.
Austin Lee Russell, known as “Chumlee” on the reality show, was taken into custody on Wednesday by The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department during a sexual assault raid at his Las Vegas home, Fox News reported.
The sexual assault investigation stemmed from a recent complaint by a woman, although Russell was not hit with any sex-related charges.
KSNV News3 reported that Chumlee was arrested back in 2008 for loitering for prostitution.
Police found methamphetamine, marijuana and at least one gun in the raid, and Russell is being held pending an initial court appearance. His bail was set at $62,000.
Russell’s reality star boss, Rick Harrison, responded with a statement of support.
“We don’t have details yet but are here to help Chumlee however we can,” Harrison said, according to KSNV News3.
