Never one to back away from a fight, Donald Trump released a video Monday excoriating two former Trump University students.
Trump named the students, Bob and Kevin, by their full name in a video titled “Trump University Truth” and displayed report cards they had signed showing that they were happy with the course. The video comes after Kevin and Bob appeared in anti-Trump ads produced by the American Future Fund.
“There’s been so much talk by dishonest people about Trump University or Trump Entrepreneur Initiative, and I thought I should set the record straight,” he said to start the video. He also mentioned that he had handed an updated score report of the university to the moderators at the Fox New Republican debate after they had announced an old rating.
“Recently at the Fox debate they said it had a D- rating from the Better Business Bureau,” he said. “I said, ‘That’s not true — it had an A.’ Well, I turned out to be right.”
Although that is not entirely accurate. A statement from the Better Business Bureau stated the school had fluctuated between an A and a D- throughout the course of its existence.
The Republican presidential front-runner went on to take shots at Marco Rubio, who he again called a “lightweight,” and said he would win the Trump University lawsuit.
