Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has endured an unrelenting wave of attacks from those opposed to his candidacy, but even his most ardent detractors have to call foul to the reaction on Saturday to a campaign rally in Orlando, Florida.
At the event, Trump asked his supporters to raise their hands and pledge to vote for him in the state’s March 15 primary: “I do solemnly swear… that I, no matter how I feel, no matter what the conditions, if there’s a hurricane or whatever… will vote on or before the 12th for Donald J. Trump for president!”

It was clearly an exercise in jest, even though the candidate got the date wrong, but social media had a meltdown anyway.
Helped along with a photograph posted by Washington Post reporter Jenna Johnson, taken from just the right angle…

All in all, it didn’t stop attendees from having a little fun, which is what presidential elections are all about. Right?
