An explanation might be in order.
During his press conference on Super Tuesday the Republican presidential front-runner was asked by Jared Rizzi from Sirius XM how he would work with Congress.
“You criticized President Obama for not working with Congress but you dismissed the criticism from Speaker (Paul) Ryan and from Senate Majority Leader (Mitch) McConnell who say that you were equivocating about this issue with these hate groups,” he asked.
Rizzi was making reference to the alleged support Trump received from former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke and other pro-white groups that have expressed support for Trump, though Trump has never reciprocated that support.
“I’m not equivocating,” Trump insisted. “Paul Ryan, I’m sure I’m going to get along great with him and if I don’t, he’s going to have to pay a big price okay?”
