Actress Neve Campbell, the newest star of the Netflix hit “House of Cards,” is so terrified of Donald Trump being president that the self-avowed socialist said she will move back to Canada if he is elected.
“I’m terrified,” Campbell said in a recent interview with Huffington Post UK. “It’s really scary. My biggest fear is that Trump will triumph. I cannot believe that he is still in the game.”
“I cannot conceive of how that’s possible,” she added.
If Campbell actually returns to the “Grandmother’s land,” as the Lakota called Canada, she will be joined by Raven Symone of “The View,” who insisted that she has already bought her ticket in case Trump is the next president of the United States.
According to the Inquisitr, other celebrities who have said they’d be willing to leave the U.S. if Trump is elected include: Jon Stewart, Rosie O’Donnell, Eddie Griffin, Cher, Samuel L. Jackson, Barry Diller, Katie Hopkins and Omari Hardwick.
And this is a bad thing how?
As for Campbell, she wasn’t very kind to the inhabitants of her host country.
“He’s an ideologue, he’s got extreme ideas, and people are looking for a big change at the moment, at the opposite end from Bernie Sanders,” she said of Trump.
“And there is a good amount of ignorance in America, of people who are angry and disappointed but don’t educate themselves in why, and how it can be fixed,” she said. “They see someone off the cuff and broad, and they think ‘OK, that’s the voice we need, just someone honest.’ But his honesty is terrifying.”
As for her choice in the 2016 presidential election, while Campbell likes Bernie Sanders, she is leaning toward Hillary Clinton.
“I don’t know if America is ready yet for Bernie’s ideology,” she told The Guardian. “I am, though.”
