It wasn’t a comfortable visit for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie “On the Record” Friday night.
Fox News host Greta Van Susteren threw Christie a few “softballs” about his glowing endorsement for Donald Trump, announced earlier in the day, before nailing him with a flashback video featuring then-candidate Christie with a different opinion.
“Donald’s a great guy and a good person but I just don’t think he’s suited to be president of the United States,” Christie told Van Susteren in an August interview. “I don’t think his temperament is suited for that and I don’t think his experience is.”
“So, what has happened?” Greta asked. “Maybe I don’t understand politics.”
Christie’s answer began with the obvious, “Because, Greta, I’m no longer in the race,” followed by an affirmation of his endorsement.
But Van Susteren wasn’t giving him a pass.
