Hillary Clinton felt the burn at the Democrat town hall on MSNBC Thursday night when she took a swipe at Bernie Sanders.
Clinton said the Vermont senator may be unfamiliar with the accomplishments of her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and current President Barack Obama, because he isn’t a real Democrat.
“I just don’t know where this comes from,” she told the audience. “Maybe it’s because Sen. Sanders wasn’t really a Democrat until he decided to run for president.”
After a smattering of applause, she was showered with boos.
“He doesn’t even know what the last two Democratic presidents did,” she said as the booing continued.
“Well, it’s true, it’s true, you know it’s true. It happens to be true,” she pleaded with the jeering crowd.
