Did the Second Amendment die with Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia?
Prominent figures like the National Rifle Association and Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz are fearful that the addition of one more liberal judge on the court would sound the death knell for the right to bear arms.

In an interview before Scalia’s death earlier this month, the NRA’s president Allan D. Cors underscored the importance of the presidential election as more seats on the Court were bound to become open.
On Saturday night, Cruz said in no uncertain terms that the Second Amendment now “stands in the balance” with the result of the election.
