Saturday Night Live used its cold open to promote both Democrat presidential candidates, even if it pushed one over the other.
The skit, which amounted to little more than a commercial for the Democrats, showed a group of four friends sitting at a restaurant and debating on who they would vote for to become the next President of the United States.
Naturally, the group had narrowed their choices to two candidates, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton.
The group praised Bernie’s likability as they contemplated Clinton’s impressive qualifications.
That’s when Hillary Clinton, played by Kate McKinnon, descends from the ceiling and begins singing Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me.”
Still, as they expressed their Bernie love they continued to praise Clinton with one calling her “the most qualified candidate in history.”
The only time a Republican candidate was mentioned was to ridicule Jeb Bush as a ridiculous choice.
Watch the unabashed liberal lovefest below.
