U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., went on a social media tirade Thursday morning rehashing his opening comments at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on illegal immigration.
Posting a series of tweets on Twitter, Gowdy highlighted the increase of unaccompanied alien minors illegally entering the United States, and a report showing 60 percent of these minors saying it was the Obama administration’s immigration policies that influenced their decision to come to the U.S.
He also stressed President Barack Obama’s continued failure to adequately secure the border.

In the past few months, the number of unaccompanied alien minors illegally entering the U.S. soared to over 17,000.
