Hillary Clinton told such a whopper Monday that the anchors interviewing her couldn’t contain their laughter.
Clinton is generally the beneficiary of softball questions from like-minded reporters but on Tuesday, the CBS news anchors couldn’t help themselves.
“How do you answer that charge that Senator Sanders has made that you’re in the pocket of Wall Street or beholden to their interests?” “CBS This Morning” co-host Norah O’Donnell asked the Democrat presidential front-runner.
“Well, look, anybody who knows me knows I’m not in the pocket of anyone, and anyone who thinks they can influence me certainly doesn’t know me,” she replied.
Upon hearing that answer, co-host Charlie Rose and others couldn’t muffle their laughter.
