Not that NBC’s line of questioning would have suggested it, but the number one trending question about Hillary Clinton leading up to Sunday’s Democratic presidential debate centered on the controversy over her use of a private email server.
“Will Hillary Clinton get prosecuted?” was the top question being asked on Google searches, according to Mediaite.
As unsettling as that may be for Team Hillary, the third most popular question being asked was, “What did Hillary Clinton do that was illegal?”
As for Clinton’s rivals, the top trending question for Sen. Bernie Sanders was, “Why is Bernie Sanders so popular?”
Appropriately, the top trending question for former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley was, “Why is Martin O’Malley running for president?”
Clearly, Democratic voters are not the only ones spending time on Google.
