Someone may want to remind NASCAR driver Tony Stewart that discretion is the better part of valor.
Throwing caution to the wind, the three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion went into the stands Friday night to confront a heckler.
With much to lose — Stewart has an estimated worth of $70 million — the popular driver was captured on video at the Chili Bowl dirt-track races in Tulsa, Oklahoma, getting in the face of a man in the stands who allegedly flipped him off. Stewart was not competing in the race.
“You’re a p***y, aren’t you?” Stewart is heard asking the man as they jaw back and forth.
“I don’t like ya, I never have!” the man replied in the exchange that involved a lot of pushing and shoving.
Tony Stewart don’t like getting flipped off! Lmao!!!

The crowd was eating it up, chanting “Tony! Tony!”
And while one might be prompted to admire Stewart’s chutzpah, giving his history of a short temper and a fatal August 2014 accident that resulted in the death of rival driver Kevin Ward Jr., his actions were ill-advised.
Having announced that the 2016 NASCAR season will be his last, the 44-year-old driver may feel he has little to lose.
Here are a couple of different angles of the incident from Twitter:
