The FBI reached out to Special Forces soldier and UFC fighter Tim Kennedy regarding the Islamic State group’s “credible threats” against him. Kennedy said the FBI was “not overly thrilled” with his response.
“Just spoke with the FBI regarding some recent credible threats towards me by #ISIS,” Kennedy wrote on his Facebook page Wednesday. “They were not overly thrilled with my response… ‘Let those cowards come.'”

Kennedy is a sergeant first class with the Texas National Guard who served in the 7th Special Forces Group, and said that he receives five to 10 threats a day through his social media accounts, according to the Army Times.
“Apparently a couple of them were legitimate,” he said, prompting the FBI to contact him.
“They said, ‘Are you aware of this stuff?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ They said, ‘We think this is somewhat credible,’” Kennedy told Army Times. “Then I said, ‘I’m kind of desensitized to this stuff, so maybe you should tell me what my level of alarm should be.’”
Currently teaching others how to protect themselves in a group he started called Sheepdog Response, Kennedy is not moved by the threats. In another Facebook post, he said, “They can send whoever they want, as long as they don’t want them back.”
“What’s the definition of terrorism?” he told Army Times. “It’s to achieve an objective through the use of force and fear. These are just nasty, evil, disgusting human beings who disrespect human life. I teach people how to live with threats like this. Who would I be to be cowering to a bunch of gutless cowards acting like a bunch of tough guys online?”
And, although the FBI may not be happy with Kennedy’s response, his fans sure are, and the Green Beret posted his mantra on Facebook.
