Amid North Korea’s claim that it had successfully detonated a hydrogen bomb Tuesday — the experts are skeptical — outspoken Hollywood actor James Woods took to social media to remind his followers who is most responsible for this alleged development.
And he did with little more than a hashtag: #GodfatherOfKoreanNukes.

Woods’ reminder included a meme of President Bill Clinton’s announcing on October 21, 1994, what he termed “a good deal” that would compel North Korea to “freeze and then dismantle its nuclear program.”
“The entire world will be safer as we slow the spread of nuclear weapons,” Clinton said at the time. “The United States and international inspectors will carefully monitor North Korea to make sure it keeps its commitments.”
A comment eerily similar to President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran, with the president promising there “will be 24/7 monitoring of Iran’s key nuclear facilities.”
No surprise, that similarity was a resounding theme on social media — here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
