Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump released his first official television ad Monday, and to the surprise of few, the focus was on radical Islamic terrorism and illegal immigration.
Trump doubles down in the ad on his proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States and promises to “cut the head off ISIS and take their oil.”
He also repeats an earlier campaign promise to build a wall along the southern border “that Mexico will pay for.”
“I am very proud of this ad, I don’t know if I need it, but I don’t want to take any chances because if I win we are going to Make America Great Again,” Trump said in a statement.
Trump’s campaign plans to spend at least $2 million per week on TV air time, with roughly half of that focused on Iowa and the other half on New Hampshire, according to The Hill.
