Acting as if she was giving away trade secrets, MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski confessed on Monday that the media can’t be objective about Republican front-runner Donald Trump.
Brzezinski said reporters act as if “their skin is crawling” to give the candidate an honest shake.
“Reporters are supposed to be objective,” the co-host said. “And they ooze with a lack of objectivity when they’re covering him.”
Fellow host Joe Scarborough readily agreed with her assessment.
“You can sort of see it in their kind of like smiling, sort of slyly and uncomfortably and almost snarkily … while they’re reporting on his rallies,” Brzezinski added. “Cause they can’t take him seriously.”
But she was just getting started in her brutal assessment of reporters.
“They can’t say: ‘You know what? There are a lot of people who’d say that this could be a very dangerous statement, but if you would look at the crowd behind us, this is exactly what they want to hear,'” she said. “They can’t even say that with conviction. They just can’t do it. It’s like their skin is crawling.”
Interestingly, she failed to say “present company excepted.”
