French magazine Charlie Hebdo has always been big on pushing the envelope, but this latest cartoon takes it to another level.
The cover of the magazine shows a party goer drinking champagne with the champagne pouring out of bullet holes in his body.
“They have weapons,” the caption reads in French. ”F*** them. We have champagne.”
The cartoon’s artist Coco, real name Corinne Rey, was the person terrorists forced to open her office door, at gunpoint in January when they massacred her colleagues.
Still, it’s tough to imagine how the families of the people who were murdered during Friday night’s terrorist attacks are going to feel about this cartoon.
What do you think about the cover?
