When it came to his strong point, illegal immigration, Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump stressed during Tuesday’s Fox Business presidential debate that “we either have a country or we don’t.”
“We are a country of laws,” Trump said. “We need borders. We will have a wall. The wall will be built. The wall will be successful. And if you think walls don’t work, all you have to do is ask Israel. The wall works, believe me, properly done. Believe me.”
“You will have to send people out,” he added. “We’re a country of laws. We either have a country or we don’t have a country.”

Trump joined Fox News host Sean Hannity after the debate to double down on his position that “we have no choice” when it comes to deporting millions of illegal immigrants.
When Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush scoffed at the idea of removing millions of people, Trump responded by pointing to President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who did exactly that in what was known as “Operation Wetback.”
“Let me just tell you that Dwight Eisenhower … moved a million and a half illegal immigrants out of this country, moved them just beyond the border; they came back,” Trump said. “Moved them again beyond the border, they came back. Didn’t like it; moved them way south. They never came back.”
