Fox host gets death threats over screaming match: Every black person in America ‘gunning for me’

A former Houston elementary school teacher’s on-air battle with an outspoken activist resulted in death threats this week.

Angela Box, a former third-grade teacher at Daily Elementary, squared off with black activist Quanell X on Houston’s Fox 26 “Face Off” segment over the incident involving fired South Carolina police officer Ben Fields, the school cop who yanked an unruly student out of her desk.

Box argued that Fields “lost his job for doing his job by subduing an unruly student in a classroom.”

“When you have one student, just one, in a classroom disrupting the class making life hell for the teachers and other students it is impossible for the other students to learn,” she said adding that she did agree that Fields went too far. “I think it’s high time we start addressing the root causes of all this. The disrespect of teachers, this Black Lives Matter movement, this perpetual chip on your shoulder against everybody that’s not like yourself. It’s got to stop. We’ve got to address the culture.”

X fired back that a counselor or therapist should have been called to the scene and he slammed Box for daring to talk about black culture before ironically slamming white culture himself.

“For you to say that we need to deal with the culture of black kids in schools, let’s deal with the culture of these crazy fanatic white boys who go in schools with guns and shoot and kill everybody,” he shouted.

“Columbine, killing the kids at the elementary schools, the shootings in other cities across America have all been crazy little white boys shooting up innocent people. So let’s study that culture,” he said.

“Address the black culture. The perpetual chip on your shoulder, [the] blame whitey,” Box shot back.

“Ma’am I went to inner city schools, my children have . . .” X said.

Box shouted back, “And I taught there.”

Box and Quanell X are no strangers to each other.

Box told BizPac Review that she felt X made a not-so-veiled threat against her in January after she resigned from her teaching job following comments she made chastising radical Islam.

Box said she has received “death threats” on social media since the “Face Off” segment aired Monday.

“I’ve been getting messages on Twitter and Facebook saying my face and body are all fake and I should be on the pole [stripper] and that I’m a racist POS,” she told BizPac Review. “I’ve been told I better watch my back because every black person in America is going to be gunning for me and I shouldn’t mess with the Black Panthers.”

Box, however, said that those threats would not stop her from pushing for her goal of unity.

“Martin Luther King preached about judging people on the content of their character and not the color of their skin,” she added. “I desperately wish our country can come together on those principals. Just because I’m a white woman doesn’t mean I cannot talk about black culture and issues.”
