One might think President Obama would check his ego at the door while attending the funeral of one of the nine African-American churchgoers killed last month in Charleston, S.C.
One might be wrong.
When Obama began singing “Amazing Grace” while delivering the eulogy for Rev. Clementa Pinckney, a moment that had reporters swooning in their seats, it turns out there was nothing spontaneous about the decision.
ABC News reported Tuesday that Obama planned the “powerful moment” ahead of time with first lady Michelle Obama and senior adviser Valerie Jarrett.
“I don’t know whether I’m going to do it, but I just wanted to warn you two that I might sing,” Obama said, according to Jarrett. “We’ll see how it feels at the time.”

The revelation prompted a wave of condemnation on social media for the “Narcissist-In-Chief,” led by conservative blogger Jay Caruso.

I hope all of the journalists who were having virtual orgasms when Obama was singing feel great about themselves.

.@Sajizzle Oh please. He played it off like the whole thing was a spontaneous moment when in reality the moment was ALL ABOUT HIM.
